As part of the Activate Tucson Committee, Dr. Robert Oro won the Metropolitan Pima Alliance  Common Ground Award on Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Marriott University Park.  The MPA's Common Ground Celebration is a community-wide event recognizing leadership in the collaborative process and dialogue among private business, government, nonprofit organizations, citizen groups, and individuals who contribute to sound community planning and development within metropolitan Pima County.

Emphasis is placed on collaboration that is atypical and falls outside of the normal day-today processes of our respective workplaces. Identifying stakeholders, inviting broad participation, finding new ways to address challenges, and developing workable solutions are all criteria that will be used to evaluate entries.
